In 2017, BA in Music Technology student and professional DJ Maciek Gajowniczek, delivered workshops to post-primary students on the art of DJ-ing! Students learned the fundamentals of electronic dance music and the mechanics of DJ gear. They were also given the opportunity to sample the decks for themselves.
In September 2014, Laurence Counihan, MA in Creative Media postgraduate student, undertook work with the project on an INC Scholarship. Throughout 2014 and 2015, Laurence worked with music teachers and tutors and provided workshops and tutorials on the use of technology in music education settings. Laurence also facilitated workshops to students throughout the county to enable them to develop skills in the creation of electronic music.
In August 2013, Kerry Education and Training Board with support from the Institute of Technology, Tralee ran a week-long series of Music Technology workshops for senior cycle music students in the North Campus of IT Tralee. The interactive workshops provided an Introduction to Pro Tools where students experimented with sound and learned how to create original electronic music.
